2010: So Far, So Good
It’s 2010. Doesn’t that sound like we should all be wearing silver jumpsuits, driving bubble-shaped hover cars and have robot maids?
Why yes, I do take my ideas about the future directly from The Jetsons. Don’t you?
So far, 2010 has been a pretty good year. Granted, it’s only been 3 and half days long, but so far, so good. My new year has included beef stew and chili cooked by Mr. Martini (oh my gosh, SO GOOD) and lots of hanging around on the couch with a cat in my lap. All in all, not too shabby.
New Year’s Eve was pretty quiet around our place, with a viewing of “The Wild Bunch” and then watching the festivities at midnight. Here I am, bridging the new year in photographs:
One second to midnight!
Happy New Year! (and Yay! for the continuous shooting option on my self-timer!)
(Not shown: Me, asleep in bed, 10 minutes after midnight.)
I think we only ventured out of the house over the weekend for groceries and such, because I really had no desire to leave our nice, warm apartment for the cold, cold outdoors. As the weatherman said this morning, “It hasn’t been above freezing all year!” Always the fear-mongerers, those crazy weathermen.
I hope your 2010 is off to a good start. Coming later this week: plans for 2010, including a look at the long-neglected “101 things to do in 1001 days” list. Yikes.
