Among Humanity
Well, we did it. We left the house today and actually went to the mall.
Actually, all things considered, it wasn’t that bad. We had another errand to run, and I was curious to see just how crazy it would be. I think it had a lot to do with when we went – around 6pm, so well after the crazy door busters, dinnertime when most all-day shoppers had gone home, but still early enough before the teenagers came out in full force.
That’s not to say it wasn’t crowded – it definitely was more lively than a typical Friday night, but not “oh my gosh, I’m going to hyperventilate from the mass of humanity!” crowded.
I really wasn’t looking to buy anything, but Mr. Martini and I had fun looking around Williams Sonoma (oh, I love that store, even though I don’t cook. It makes me want to learn to cook, but then, I’d know how to cook but still not be able to afford to shop there. So, what’s the point of learning to cook then? Oh, my logic, it is fool-proof) and I bought a couple of holiday smelling tarts from Yankee Candle (Jack Frost, North Pole and Sparkling Snow, if you must know). Then we called it a night.
Now Mr. Martini is waiting for me to finish up this post so we can watch Up! in the living room. So if you’ll excuse me, I have to get the tissues and change into my comfy clothes for a night in front of the TV.
Happy Friday!

You are braver than I. I don’t like going to our malls even when it isn’t the holidays. I avoid Shelbyville Road like the plague from now until New Years.
