SpaceCase Needs Your Help Choosing a Halloween Costume

Here is a plea for help. Mr. Martini and I have been invited to a Halloween party this weekend. A costume party.

Now, I’m not one of those people who can travel on the train in full costume and feel… comfortable. I’m just not that person. So here are my options for costumes that can be put in a bag and carried to the party, then donned just as we enter. (The rest of my costume will most likely consist of a black shirt, jeans, and black boots – woooo, scary, I know.)

The problem is that I can’t decide which one to wear. Which is where I beg for your help. You all did such a wonderful job choosing my hair color a few months ago, so I know you have impeccable taste. Plus you’re all very pretty/handsome/smart/talented/witty/excellent drivers.

Hopefully you’re the types who are willing to trade expertise for flattery.

So, here are my costume options. Please let me know which you think is the best, for whatever reason – cutest, funniest, scariest, or even most likely to be embarrassing after a couple of beers. Whatever you think. I’ve included a few pros and cons as an aid – feel free to ignore them at your discretion.

Option #1:

Costume: Mouse
Pros: People will feed me cheese all night.
Cons: Is there a con to people feeding me cheese all night? Not in my world.

Option #2:

Costume: Kittycat
Pros: Get to say “Mrworr!” all night long.
Bonus: Claw-like action allows me to show off pretty, pretty fingernail polish.
Cons: Hairballs.

Option #3:

Costume: Classic
Pros: It’s a classic for a reason – hee.
Cons: Fuzzy mustache sticks to lip gloss. Ptooey.

And finally, in case I wimp out and only Mr. Martini dresses up:

Option #4:

Costume: Slightly Embarrassed Girlfriend
Pros: No worry about costume messing up lip gloss.
Cons: Potential the other guests will not realize it’s just a costume and instead think I’m just a party-pooper.
